1. Who we are & contact
TripTribe is operated by PassByte OÜ, a company registered in Estonia with its registered office at Sakala tn 7-2, Kesklinna linnaosa, Tallinn, Harju maakond, 10141, Estonia. Contact: passbyte@pm.me.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 16 years old (or the digital age of consent in your country) to create an account.
- If you use the Service on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorized to bind it.
- You may not use the Service if doing so is prohibited where you are located, or if you are on a sanctions list.
3. The Service
TripTribe helps travelers plan, log, and share multi-leg trips, parses tickets you upload, and offers operator/route intelligence. Some features (route bookings) act as a technical intermediary between you and a transport operator — TripTribe is not the carrier and does not operate any vehicles.
4. Your account
- Keep your credentials secret. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
- We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms, applicable law, or our community guidelines.
5. User content & license
You retain ownership of the tickets, photos, reports, tips, and other content you submit (“User Content”). You grant TripTribe a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, adapt, translate, and display User Content for the purpose of operating and improving the Service, including producing anonymized aggregate data that cannot identify you. This license survives termination only to the extent needed for backup, legal compliance, and anonymized analytics.
You warrant that you have the rights to submit User Content and that it is not unlawful, defamatory, infringing, or sensitive personal data of third parties without their consent.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or overload the Service.
- Upload malware, infringing content, hateful content, or sexual content involving minors.
- Use the Service to compile competing operator/route databases.
- Misrepresent yourself, impersonate others, or manipulate ratings.
7. Bookings, payments, refunds
- Payments are processed by Stripe. By paying, you agree to Stripe's terms.
- Prices are shown in the currency at checkout and include taxes where applicable.
- The transport contract is between you and the operator. Operator schedules, cancellations, and on-board terms govern the journey itself.
- EU consumers: the 14-day Art. 16(l) of the Consumer Rights Directive exemption applies — passenger transport services are exempt from the cooling-off right once a specific date or period is reserved.
- Refund eligibility for cancellations or no-shows follows the operator's policy disclosed at checkout. TripTribe service fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
8. Subscriptions
- Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- We may change plan prices with at least 30 days' notice.
- EU/UK users have the statutory right of withdrawal within 14 days of subscribing, except where digital services have begun with your express consent and acknowledgment that the right is lost.
9. Intellectual property
The TripTribe name, logo, software, and aggregated intelligence are owned by TripTribe and protected by IP laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership to you.
10. Third-party services
The Service integrates Google Maps, Stripe, Resend, and other providers. Their terms and policies apply to your use of those features.
11. Disclaimers
Travel data is provided as-is. Schedules, prices, and predictions are estimates and can change without notice. Always verify critical details (border opening hours, last connection, visa rules) before traveling.
12. Liability
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, TripTribe's total liability for any claim is capped at the greater of (a) THB 5,000 or (b) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
- Nothing limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law (including mandatory consumer-protection rights under Thai law and EU/UK consumer law).
13. Termination
You may close your account at any time from the settings page or by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, with notice where reasonable. After termination, we retain data only as described in our Privacy Policy.
14. Governing law & dispute resolution
- These Terms are governed by the laws of Estonia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
- The courts of Tallinn, Estonia have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection rules give you the right to sue (or be sued only) in your country of residence — in which case those rules prevail.
- EU/UK consumers may use the European Commission's ODR platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
15. Changes
We will email registered users at least 14 days before material changes take effect. If you do not agree, your remedy is to stop using the Service before the effective date.
